![]() I liked Ion against pilots and AI but I wasn't fond of it vs other Titans. I really dig the mobility but I do generally lean toward durability over mobility.Īlso Ion and Northstar are placed where they are based off of less than 5 matches of use each. I could see myself swapping Ronin and Legion at some point, I bet I m probably riding high on Ronin right now cause I had 2 or 3 games of Attrition where I just crushed using Ronin. The crazy thing is I still barely use shield based abilities so I feel like Scorch has way more potential that I'm going to start trying to take advantage of. I found myself immediately drawn to Scorch and Tone, they are easily my 2 most played. It's fantastic in a confusion when you have teammates who can distract the enemy titans tho.Īnyway that's my 2 cents and I'm by no means an expert. It's not hard to keep it in your sights on PC and it's paper thin amount of armor/life is ultimately it's undying as you back and dash away from it. Ronin is a neat idea and totally cool when you can pull out some moves but honestly I don't remember last time I was killed by one in a straight up fight. The core beam is the real winner here catching an enemy titan in a bad position is basically a guaranteed kill on anything. Ion is actually a decent all rounder too, it's the most agile titan after Ronin. I also jsut find that it outperforms Tone in every way. I just had a match last night where I kept the same Legion for the entire duration with like 4 core charge ups. And at the endgame you can very quickly get reapers for points. It's massive hp pool also means you can comfortably sit in a doomed state and still dish it out. The core ability is fantastic in a brawl where you can be picking off ejecting pilots or hangers on left and right just as collateral damage. It's power shot does tremendous damage, and in long range mode mini gun can snipe pilots. On a congested map it's Scorch or Legion.īasically Legion is the big daddy of Titans imo, it performs great at all ranges, give it an extra dash and the double strength shield and voila you have a ton of survivability, with the shield on such a short cooldown. On a long range map you want Northstar or Legion. ![]() It's only saving grace is that it's shield wall can help your teammates. I've never felt threatened by someone in a Tone titan. And even if you do that missile barrage is just one wall away from doing 0 dmg. Good luck getting missile locks on decent players consistently. People overlap their shields and generally just juke to and from corners. I don't get the love for Tone really (well I do couse Jeff), aside from maybe 1 very open map Tone firepower is very easy to dodge or otherwise avoid at least on PC. Gundogan is exactly right, when you're trying to soak up late game points in Attrition, a Titan's "time to kill" on those Reapers and Stalkers is crucial and leaving it to an ai Titan def won't net you the same amount of points. Thanks for replying as that was driving me crazy! :D Tone and Legion are the most rounded ones at the moment, so obviously those see a lot of play as well.ġ00%, the only reason I didn't go into detail as to why they are more devastating was because I couldn't remember the names of those late match ai enemies. The kit combo's and main weapon are fun to use and it feels like new gameplay compared to the others. In TF2, it's kinda important to have a Titan in the end game of Attrition. These enemies were not in TF1 Attrition where you could farm grunts and spectres all game long fine as a pilot. ![]() That's because Titans are very good at killing Reapers and Stalkers. I would def recommend climbing in and giving it a shot. ![]() Yeah, they're a lot more devastating in 2, I've seen quite a few late game comebacks in Attrition by solid titan piloting. I've still been setting the titans on purely AI modes because they were never that useful in the first game IMO. ![]() If you're looking to rewatch the first three Home Alone movies, they're currently available on Disney+, and Home Alone 4 and 5 are available to stream on HBO Max. Three months until we’re #HomeSweetHomeAlone. Meg said little in interviews all you needed to know about her you could glean from watching her perform, the glee with which she pounded skins and cymbals, the way she drained the bottle of whiskey next to her kit over the course of a show. He might have seemed curmudgeonly, if not for the verve with which he declared his passions: the Delta bluesmen he covered, such as Son House and Blind Willie McTell, and his forlorn hometown's rich garage-rock heritage. At the dawn of the internet age, Jack was a man from another era: he bemoaned bad manners and the death of the gentleman, and bad-mouthed modern technology, especially the motor car. The duo made for great copy, especially after evidence surfaced of their 1996 marriage and subsequent divorce in 2000, putting the lie to the brother/sister myth they'd propagated since their first record. In their red, white and black livery, they were instantly iconic: you could dress up as the White Stripes for Hallowe'en, and they were recognisable even when rendered in Lego, as Michel Gondry did for the video to their breakthrough single, Fell in Love With a Girl. Later that summer, their first UK tour became the unlikely subject of mainstream press attention: front-page stories in the music press, copious coverage in both the tabloids and the broadsheets, even a feature on Radio 4's Today programme that quoted their earliest champion, DJ John Peel, declaring Jack "the most exciting guitarist since Hendrix". The first time I interviewed him, back in spring 2001, Jack told me, "Success won't change us, or the way we do things." It was this very idiosyncratic way of doing things that helped win them their success, made them a band people believe in, and a phenomenon they identify with. With the White Stripes, he and Meg created a band alive with the myth, ambiguity and idiosyncrasy that legends are hewn from and fans adore. Jack White, an inveterate record collector, understood the pleasures of being a fan better than most other musicians. But the White Stripes filled this void with incomparable style. I couldn't take my eyes off them, the atmosphere between Jack and Meg was electric, as he hollered into a microphone next to her drum kit, holding eye contact with her at all times. They arrived at a moment when rock'n'roll was experiencing one of its periodic lulls in inspiration there seemed to be no real icons, no personalities, no larger-than-life heroes left. Their songs were great – wild and alive with subtle weirdness and ageless riffs – and they played a cover of Dolly Parton's Jolene that was anything but ironic, delivering its tale of heartbreak with a captivating sincerity. I first saw the White Stripes almost a decade ago, at the Texas music industry showcase South By South-West in March 2001, playing an afternoon barbecue party in a parking lot across from a tattoo parlour. ![]() And I understand why, because Jack and Meg White's decision to call time on the Stripes' 13-year career formally marks the end of one of the most memorable groups in recent memory. Yesterday, however, fans registered their dismay in countless threads on the internet, while others went shopping – according to Amazon, the White Stripes' 2010 live album and documentary Under Great White Northern Lights have seen an increase in sales of 2,644% on the site. And if rock history has taught us anything, it's that bands only stay split up until the first date of the lucrative reunion tour. Prolific singer/guitarist/songwriter Jack White will continue to write, perform and record with his other groups the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, and is indeed likely putting the finishing touches to another such project as you read this. In their exit statement on Thursday, the Detroit duo said they hoped the news would not be "met with sorrow by fans", emphasising that the split was not due to health issues or artistic differences. ![]() W hether you're a fan or not, the massive outpouring of grief this week in response to the news that minimalist rock band the White Stripes were to split up might seem puzzling. I outlined some of the criteria I looked for below:Ĭolor accuracy is the central issue in a good monitor for graphic design. I researched numerous monitors from leading manufacturers, taking into consideration professional reviews, peer suggestions, and user impressions, and then comparing the specs to classics and brand new models alike. When I bought my last laptop, I spent about a month scouring the internet comparing screen quality, so when writing this list I wanted to make sure that I did the topic justice. Whether I’m matching a color from Photoshop swatches to a Sherwin Williams color book to determine what color we should paint an exhibit wall or I’m restoring photographs to incorporate into slides, it always comes down to the details. How we chose the best monitors for graphic designĪs a digital artist and graphic designer myself, I love it when large projects take me into the weeds. Best for gaming and graphic design: GIGABYTE M27Q 27.Best professional: Apple 32-inch Pro Display.Best overall: ASUS ProArt Display PA279CV.The best monitors for graphic design are well-honed tools that give you the control to take mastery over your vision, and these are our picks: If you’re looking for an impeccable monitor for graphic design, it’s all about control. Most design monitors are also large, with generous accuracy across viewing angles, and good connectivity. Great monitors for graphic design will also be highly detailed, with resolutions above HD, so that you can’t distinguish individual pixels with the naked eye. Their screens get bright enough so that lighter colors will pop and darker colors will recede into true blacks while lighting up uniformly without flicker. Top monitors for graphic design do a great job with accurate colors in a wide color space so that you don’t have to speculate as to how a T-shirt will look when it comes back from the printer. It might be surprising to the uninitiated, but these different tasks will often demand different color spaces and screen specializations, some of which most regular computer monitors wouldn’t be able to touch: queue graphic design monitors. In one day a modern graphic designer might tweak a web icon in Illustrator, adjust a RAW photo’s color palette in Photoshop, prepare a brochure for CMYK print in Indesign, and add type to a 3D animated TV advert. Just as every great design contains a gestalt of rhythm, harmony, color, and form, the best monitors for graphic design unify disparate qualities and features, that sum up to become a perfectly honed tool for creation. ![]() The next question that comes to mind is if the game is going to be a co-op game. So dreaming of playing it with your friends both on PC and Xbox can be a dream for some time. But the answers have turned out to be negative. Several questions have been asked to the developers. The first question is if it would be a cross-platform game. Okay, now let me talk about what questions might be arising in the creative minds (creative, eh!). The game is all about swimming, flying, and rowing all around while discovering different islands and crafting houses! Practically it is a survival game with a lot of adventures and action stuff going all around! The developers have released all information related to the games, and I would suggest putting up with a look at those (Please, I insist!). Soaring Pixels is a game developing company that will enter the gaming industry with a bang with a game named Breakwaters! And we’ve to wait to know whether we’ll be playing it on cross platforms! The game is all about surviving and defending and fighting and stuff! Didn’t get me? Breakwaters feature everything a player would want to feel ecstatic about! It is an adventure game where players will swim, sail and fly all around, finding new islands while building and crafting shelters of their own.
